This is a favorite of so many people who have already seen this one over the years.

Meet Mr. Mark Phinney, who was a Cape May icon at Elaine's Bed and Breakfast. He was a master carpenter in his day. I happened to stumble upon him in his later years when he would have breakfast on the porch with his daughter, the owner of Elaine's, then don his straw hat and canvas nail bag to sit and hand out brochures for the dinner theater and collect money for parking from the daytime visitors.

He had so much character and was very open to let me take some photos. Years ago I returned to present him and his daughter with a print. Needless to say, he was humbled. Last I knew it was hanging in the bar area of the B&,B. He has since gone to be with the Lord, but I still get to see him every day.
